ABOUT ME
"If you keep doing what you always did, you'll keep getting what you always got."
Today's weigh in... (( sigh )) OK, how do I not get frustrated? Too late - I AM frustrated and that's OK - it's pretty natural. The bigger issue is how not to get disillusioned and give up. THAT'S EASY TO DO. C'mon - my little mind is just looking for an opening to throw in the towel and go back to all of my fun-but-bad-for-me bad habits. I have a couple of gold medals in towel throwing. I've decided to recycle it and turn it into a gold star for perseverance. That's a new one and I'm anxious to see where it gets me.
KC has started working on me to extend the raw diet into more of a lifestyle rather than a temporary means to an end. Psst - don't tell her that I'm seriously thinking about it. I'd like to find
a happy median but truthfully when it comes to diet, exercise and good health - there is no happy median.
- Fat IS BAD. Fat IS BAD. Fat IS BAD. In fact, there are serious health BENEFITS from being slightly underweight. That's the reality folks. FAT IS BAD.
- You MUST exercise daily - cardio, stretching, weight training must all be incorporated in whatever program you develop.
- You MUST eat healthy foods and folks - raw, fresh veggies & fruits need to make up the MAJORITY of your diet.
- You MUST drink plenty of fluids - read that as WATER (ugh).
The recipe is pretty simple - but no one said it was easy (or frankly that desirable - but that's just my Western Cultural mentality talking). There's a lot of sacrifice, challenge and change involved in it. So am I up for it? Well, the jury is still out. I do know this - I've never done it.
I've never, ever actually gotten to my desired weight and been in ultimate health and actually stayed there. So what would my life be like if (gasp) I actually did that? I don't have a clue. It's very intriguing concept though. I can only imagine waking up each day energized and positive - having clear goals for the day and feeling great about looking at yourself in the mirror, putting clothes on that always fit and are never snug or worse - don't fit. Just imagine that life! How about if I just DO THAT? I could just do it you know. It is possible. I'm in control of my own weight. I could actually do that - it wouldn't be easy - but I could actually do that. I'm definitely taking it under consideration. Let me sit with it for awhile...
Here's today's frustrating stats... (that being said - I'm still A ROCK.)
